At Meeting Games, we believe in keeping things simple and collecting as little data as possible. Because our core philosophy is zero-friction gameplay, we do not require user accounts, emails, or passwords to play.

1. Information we collect

• Nicknames: When you join a room, you enter a display name that other players can see in the room.
• Game Data: We store the votes you submit during active games, such as whether you voted A or B.
• Local Storage: We use browser storage to remember your nickname and temporary player ID so refreshes are less disruptive.
• Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate website traffic and improve the product.

2. Data Retention & Deletion

We do not want to keep your data forever. Finished games are automatically deleted after about 8 hours. Empty abandoned rooms are deleted sooner, and other stale unfinished rooms are removed within about 12 hours.

3. Third-Party Services

We use Supabase as the backend database and realtime layer for multiplayer connections. We also use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate traffic reporting.

4. Trivia Content Attribution

Some Trivia question content is curated from Open Trivia DB and used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license. We review imported questions for fit and may mix them with original Meeting Games questions over time.
